THIS IS CUSTOMER REVIEW FROM AMAZON MARKET PLACE TELL ABOUT THE SECRETS TASTE INSIDE INDOMIE MI GORENG INSTANT NOODLES
This stuff destroyed my life. Don't do it. Don't order it. 30 is too much you will end up eating it all in a week and a half and destroying your body, mind, family, friends, and job. Don't say I didn't warn you.
I should have listened to a review not to do it, not to order this! why didn't i listen?! it'll consume your soul with its deliciousness and it'll occupy your every thought whenever you get even a tiny bit hungry. i sacrificed so much of my life savings just to keep having this heroin in noodle form. please heed our warning give these noodles a pass and order something less tastefully addicting!
I've heard only good things about these noodles across the internet, and as a big fan of instant ramen, I had to try them. Although a 10 pack was the smallest amount I could find, I definitely don't regret the purchase.
The noodles are great- a perfect savory blend of soy and chili sauces, which are added as a sort of stir-fry sauce to the drained noodles rather than a soup base. The garnishes for the noodles also include some sort of oil with onion and some additional dried bits of fried onion to put on top, which add a subtle texture to the dish. One thing I will say though, is that all of the packaged ingredients together make the noodles taste quite a bit like fried onions, which might not be to your personal preference (of course you could always just omit one of the packets from the noodles!)
Additionally, I tried preparing the noodles as shown on the package- with a fried egg and some veggies, and it was great! I wholeheartedly recommend these guys if you're looking for a new type of instant ramen-type meals or are simply looking to explore a little bit.
I love these. A friend turned me on to them a while ago. And ever since then I have been hooked! But beware that hot sauce!!!. If you love things spicy I'd even recommend using 1/4th of the small amount that comes with it at first. They cook like Ramen, strain the noodles. Mix all the condiments except the onion. I wait till the noodles and everything else is mixed perfectly in a bowl to add the onions. Mix the hot sauce in with everything else! Recommend buying
Sunday, Oct. 8, approximately 3:30 p.m. - I received a sample to try at the Taste of DC food festival as well as a full-size sample to bring home and make myself.
Sunday, Oct. 8/Monday, Oct. 9 - circa midnight - back home in NYC, I cooked up my ramen sample and fell in love.
I had no choice but to add a case of noodles to my Amazon cart.
I then proceeded to get on Fresh and found LOTS OF OTHER DELICIOUS THINGS TO ROUND OUT MY RAMEN, such as bok choy, green onions, sesame oil, sambal oelek, sriracha, eggs, and red cabbage. Groceries arriving Tuesday morning.
Monday, Oct. 9, approximately 9 a.m. - I finally actually purchased the noodles and am currently planning a week's worth of ramen variations.
It's a lifestyle, people.
My first time trying noodles of this style. These are a bit more complex to make than your standard ramen noodles to make. However, I found the flavor to be very rich, with a decent level of spiciness, neither too hot or too mild. After eating these I have had no desire to go back to the standard ramen flavors you find in most stores.
This particular flavor comes with 5 packets:
1 Dry seasoning package
1 Dried onion pieces package
1 Sweet Soy sauce packet
1 Onion sauce packet? (I am not entirely sure about this one)
1 Spicy Chili sauce packet
You can easily skip out any individual flavors you don't like, such as removing or reducing the spiciness. However, I recommend using all 5 to really bring out the flavor.
It can be tricky to open the sauce packets, and the onion and chili sauce packets are very oily.
I love these noodles. One pack is not enough to be honest, I usually make two. I add a pack or two of soy sauce just to give it some moisture, I love soy sauce. As far as spicyness, I'm thrilled that the chili sauce is separate. I add a few drops to my two packs and that's more than spicy for me, but it does give it a nice kick. I highly recommend this to any noodles lover out there. You won't be disappointed.
Hands down the best ramen ever. After water boils add raw egg and when everything is prepared slice of American cheese. The onions are sweet and delicious chili sauce is just the right kick. 5/7 would buy again.
Stop reading this and buy some already! Every second you waste is another second that you aren't enjoying this devastatingly delicious ramen.
I'm not joking - buy it!
Pro tip: I let mine simmer for an extra 5-10 minutes after I put in the spices. The noodles don't get too soft, but they absorb the flavoring more.
We are Aussies living in Florida and we constantly miss the essentials from home and these were high on the list.
When we got them it was just as we remembered them, savory, spicy and tiny bit sweet! try adding a fried egg or other ingredients and vegetables to experiment with flavor combos, these noodles taste good with just about anything!
For Americans who have never tried these they are very different to the maruchan or Walmart noodle packs, they include several sauce, seasoning and oil packets with the noodles to give it a thick flavorsome sauce that coats the noodles.
Try them, you won't be disappointed!
I thought people were exaggerating saying they want to eat the bowl after bowl. I was wrong. I would too, and I'm not even a fanatic for ramen. My kids turned up their noses at it, just wanted their regular old Maruchan. MORE FOR ME THEN
this is the most amazing "ramen" I have ever had. Its not even really ramen I guess. Got 2 packs from a friend and after eating the first pack I was hoping I could find it. I did, here, and ordered a case. 5 different seasoning packs per serving, 3 liquid and two dry. I can buy ramen noodles for like 20 cents each at the supermarket these are like 3 times that price and still worth double that. OMG they are so good, high quality, and beg you to experiment. So good.
These are great with the best spice packets of any of the ramens. Stir fry some bok choy, onions, squash, mushrooms, and add these and some water to the pan after veggies are nicely stir fried and it is a meal good enough to serve to company. Or just put them in a microwave bowl and sink a raw egg in the bottom. Fresh ginger, basil, cilantro, jalepeno, bean sprouts, etc are also great additions....Eat them plain or gourmet them up, great any way you make them. Better than noodle dishes you would pay $9+ for at an asian restaurant.
These noodles are SO GOOD. Follow the directions, though. They are NOT meant to have broth. Oh man they are tasty though.
I didn't believe the warnings in the reviews about how addicting this stuff is. Ive bought thousands of things off of amazon and have never left a review. This ramen is so good. I think about it night and day and have even had a dream about it
Get it at your own risk.
This is a dorm essential for me. My entire dorm is addicted to it now after I let them try it, so delicious! What makes it different than most of the ramen noodles out there is that it has seasoning, hot sauce, sweet soy sauce, seasoning oil, and dried onions all in one pack! Very delicious and rich, you won't even feel like you're eating ramen (especially if you drain the water before adding all the seasoning)
I read a review saying these are addictive and saw a few reviews on youtube and people were raving and I was like it can not be that great.... however I was wrong... its DELICIOUS easy to prepare and the sauces mixed together covers all the noodles evenly... I had two packs in one sitting and wanted to have a third pack all in one day.... I got hungry and it was on my mind to make another... and I have to be saying no to myself not to have a third... Its so tasty... with just a hint of spice... the first package I could feel a slight burn at the back of my throat the second pack... not so much... HIGHLY recommend these... think I need to order a large case *blushes*
I love these! I cut up a stalk or two of bok choy to throw in after the noodles start boiling. A fried egg on top is a plus. They are like crack. My life is now a series of events between when I can have noodles.
BEST NOODLES HANDS DOWN!!!! There are many other noodles out there but I love how versatile these can be. Yes many people may just boil, add packets, and serve. NO!!! You're doing it wrong!! Let me tell you that when you throw in veggies, meats, or whatever you may desire into these noodles you will transform this into such a great meal. Believe that!
"Nom nom nom" LOVE this stuff! Super tasty & much lower sodium content than other noodles. The price is much better when ordering in bulk on Amazon vs in my grocery store too.
These are the best ramen noodles i have found!! So much better than walmarts!
I recently discovered these in a local market and fell in love. We made fried shrimp and I used this as my base. So wonderful. Just spicy enough to fill my craving, but not enough to hurt me. You can always leave out the chili sauce and it's just as tasty. So many different season packets to help you tune it to your tastes. I love these. I will have stock of them from now on.
I was expecting something like Top Ramen, but these are actually dry noodles. You cook the noodles seperate from the sauce packets, and mix the packets on the plate with the noodles after they are done cooking. Tastes really good, but a bit more work than I'm used to. I'll try just throwing everything together and see how it tastes.
Delicious and unusual, far more fancy and tasty than "Top Ramen" or "Maruchan" which you find in US supermarkets. This comes in a familiar plastic bag with a block of noodles, plus one three-sectioned clear plastic bag of flavorings and a foil two-sectioned bag with seasoning for the noodles after they cook as well as a section of dried onions! These need to be cut open. The directions say to put the three seasonings ("to taste") on a plate while the noodles cook for three minutes. I always drain the "soup" from my ramen. Then I mixed the cooked noodles with the flavorings and added the onion and mixed it all up -- delicious! Loads of flavor. Convenient and flavorful. Never had ramen like this before. VERY GOOD INDEED!
I'll admit that one of my guilty pleasures is ramen, and not good restaurant ramen, but the el-cheapo five-for-a-buck packets from the grocery store. A gal-pal of mine who lives in Singapore suggested I try these, as they take such things much more seriously there than we do here.
Life-changing, y'all. No fooling. These are incredible. If you're a fan of instant ramen, You. Want. These. Noodles. So go click "Buy" up there. Now. Thank me later.
Absolutely delicious! I don't use the spicy packet but the taste is just great without it. My husband likes spicy foods so he uses it. This is a cheap but delicious meal. We add 1-2 fried eggs on top. Mmm!
I was nervous about ordering these, I was looking for an easy cheap meal for lunches or on nights I don't wanna cook. These ended up being ridiculously delicious. I'm so glad I gave them a try. I make them in the rapid ramen cooker and they are done in four minutes. I have already placed another order and these will remain a staple in my pantry for as long as they are made
Super tasty! I love these noodles and if the nutrition label is to be believed, it's not even bad for you.
I was concerned about some of the reviews that said the product showed up and was expired or all the noodles were broken, so I was a little turned off, but I purchased it anyway and am so glad I did. Perfect condition, not expired. To make it even better, absolutely add some veggies and fry an egg to put on top. My only complaint is that the amount of noodles that comes in each package is pretty small. I usually ate 2 packages together.
So good with a fried egg
These are about the best instant noodles you can get, but consider that 1/3 of the bags will be crushed when you order them online and take that into account if you purchase them.
Delicious and addictive. Gives meaning to eating ramen hahaha!
Only downside is because they don't require water they're less filling and you can absorb them in less than a minute, so I advice to add veggies or whatever other ingredient to choose to turn them from a snack into a meal.
If your exposure to ramen has been limited to the budgetary survival staple of starving college students, you might be surprised to know that ramen noodles can actually be good. But you could make that discovery easily through these noodles, which are definitely a cut above the usual cheap stuff you find for a dime a package in grocery stores. Given that this stuff costs over sixty cents a package, that's probably not surprising. For ramen, that's a gourmet price!
These noodles are made a little differently than usual ramen, where you just boil the noodles then dump the packet in. That produces a more soupy style of ramen, but these are more of a thick noodle dish. With these, you boil the noodles for three minutes in 400 ml (12 oz) of water. In the meanwhile, you open the flavor packets and mix them together in a plate or bowl. Unlike most ramen where you just get one or two, with these you get FIVE SEPARATE PACKETS for spices, fried onions, oil, sweet soy sauce, and hot chili sauce. When the noodles are done, you drain off as much of the water as you can, then dump the noodles into the bowl, stir until the noodles are well coated with the flavor paste, and enjoy.
People with soy sensitivities will want to leave out the soy sauce; none of the other ingredients seem to include any soy so I would expect you to be safe otherwise. People who aren't fond of spicy food might want to leave out part or all of the chili sauce. It's not TOO hot, but after having a couple of packets of it I definitely felt it the next day, if you know what I mean.
The noodles themselves are good, firm, and al dente if you cook them the right length. The flavor mix is piquant and savory. I'll bet it would be even better mixed with other ingredients--some sauteed vegetables, or maybe a small can of chili for variety. Or, of course, you could follow the suggestion on the package and top it with a fried egg. I've never tried that myself, but I'll bet it would be good.
It does seem like thirty is a pretty big number to get at once, but trust me: once you've tried them, those thirty noodle packets will be gone before you know it.
It beats the hell out of those thinly flavored soup mix packets college students eat.
The first time I ordered this product, everything was great. The second time I ordered this product, I received a box of 30 packs dated 2011 (6 yrs out of date). The seasoning oils were cloudy and waxy, with the texture of butter. Unusable. The ramen noodles themselves were still edible, but what's the point without that delicious seasoning. What a waste.
Very tasty! Definitely not something I would eat regularly because of the sodium but it’s so good! I treat myself to these once in a while!
I really like this ! I add everything but the red sauce, too hot for me burns my tongue. I really like the flavor of the sauce, I just wish there were more noodles in the package.
These are so delicious and has so much flavor! It's a little spicy, about the same amount of spice as a jalapeƱo. It comes with a packet of fried onions so if you don't like the taste of onions just skip using it. I personally like the taste of it. I could eat 3 packs in one sitting they are so good.
These are the best noodles I've ever eaten fixed them according to direction, added the packet of seasoning and a small of sweet soy sauce. Yummy!!
These are great! So glad I decided to give these a try because they are some of the better quick noodles available.
I didn't believe it when people said these noodles are amazing and they were! it came quickly and my family and I ate the whole box in a week, not going but the taste is amazing. The only dislike was that my box was really damaged when it came but the noodles lucky for me were not crushed
It came right in time for finals week and I couldn't have been happier! I love Mi Goreng, and prefer it to the basic college kid essential "Top Ramen".
WHY DID I GET THEM I WAS WARNED
HEED MY DIRE WORDS
IF YOU BUY THESE YOU WILL NEVER STOP EATING THEM
also they're a nice textured noodle, hard to over/undercook, the seasoning is just about perfect, and it's definitely awful for you.
Oh my lawwwwwwwwd are these things good. I have eaten nothing but Maruchan package ramen and Cup O noodles my whole life and they are a cheap bleh kind of tummy filler. Nothing but salty water with noodles pretty much. My lord are these things in a whole different class. GREAT solo but fry a sunny side up egg on there and break that yolk into the noodles and these are better than 99% of the noodles I can get near me in resturants flavor wise. Its still package ramen noodles but the sauce and fried onion packets elevate these to a divine status.
I am literally obsessed with these noodles :(. I eat them nearly every day. So, yes they are good, but addicting.
Best ramen I've ever had. I do only live in eastern PA, so my opinion is limited. However back to the point absolutely great product.
Like this noodle compare to American instant noodle. It taste better and I put lot of spinach or steam veggie with it and scramble eggs then it became my quick ready meal if I am lazy to cook.
I ordered these a few years ago and they were my absolute favorite ramen, so much so, I had it automatically set up to one click buy. I ordered some more recently and they were extremely spicy, hotter than I remembered, but not only that, they severely upset my stomach. They still tasted good, but beware.
O.....M.....G. I am not a normal "American" ramen eater. But these are AMAZINGLY yummy.
One of the reviews here said some things that I thought were a bit exaggerated. Then I saw a second one...still exaggerating these noodles...... Let me tell you, they are NOT exaggerating! I've lost everything! I finished my box of 30 in less than a week! I made brisket and it paired well with a sunny side egg over the noodles! SAVE YOURSELF! SCROLL AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THESE NOODLES.
RUN YOU FOOL - GANDALF when he bought his 420th box of noodles.
The noodles are by far the greatest I've ever had the pleasure to taste!!! Only reason I didn't give 5 Stars was because the box arrived ripped on the side and about 4-5 of the individual package had been ripped as well. Amazing Noodles Not so good shipping
My favorite ramen hands down. Don't overcook it, take it out right as its al dente, mix with the seasonings, squirt some siracha on top and add a fried egg..yum!
It was a bit messing for me to open but overall great for the cost and much better than the more common ramen in the U.S.
These are THE best instant noodles for the price. if you're unfamiliar with mi goreng, these are brothless sweet and spicy noodles with fried onion. They're much better than your typical grocery store fare while still costing less than a dollar per pack. My favorite way to eat them is to make them in a frying pan and scramble an egg or two with it! Makes a great breakfast too.
